Great West Life's purchase of Canada Life is still pending regulatory approval. However, there is no reason to suspect that the acquisition will not go through. It is business as usual at Canada Life. Some changes to their term portfolio have recently been announced. Please contact the office for details.

Maritime Life (May 2003)

Changes have been made to their term portfolio and their UL Solutions product. For life products only, please calculate the premium using age nearest. Living Benefits calculations remain using age last. The criteria for preferred underwriting has changed somewhat, please call Alice/Indra for details.

Manulife Financial (May 2003)

Recently announced changes to their term portfolio. Please contact us for details. Their Laddered GIC Account is doing very well and may well suit your skittish clients when it comes to investing for the mid to long term.

RBC Life (May 2003)

The changes to their UL product are now in force. Please contact us for your kit and/or CD. Their long-term care product is still a best seller despite the premium increases.
